A brief introductory message about the Swansea Lions Club from Past President Lion Vaughan Thomas.
Founded in 1968, The Swansea Lions Club has been tirelessly serving those in need within the Swansea Area.
Being the 3rd oldest club in Wales, we originally served the whole of Swansea and surrounding districts. Later, the surrounding areas were split into the Swansea Lions Club with the addition of 3 daughter clubs – Ammanford, Gower & Llwchwr, and Glantawe.
We are proud to be part of Lions International, the world’s largest service organisation, which was founded in 1917. With the help of 1.35 million Lions in 40,000 clubs, spread across over 200 countries, Lions International have assisted millions of people across the world, providing humanitarian services.
Both Swansea Lions Club and Lions International are a non political, non religions, non governmental organisation.
